Inspiration seeped through the windows of apartment 5j on Barrow Street looking out over the Hudson River in NYC’s Greenwich Village, where singer-songwriters Eryn Murman and Jason Hite soaked up the energy and passion of musicians, painters, poets and writers who created the Village vibe. Together, they paid tribute to those creative spirits and named their band 5j Barrow, writing music and lyrics with an Indie-folk-earth-rock sound, sometimes as a duo, and often joined by bassist, Drew Jones, and drummer, Gerard Canonico.

Carly Black - A Touch of Black

ATOB is a Birmingham based rock band that boasts a soulful,indie-inspired, blues-infused sound. Founded in 2012 and excited about entertaining you!

Carly Black began sharing her music around Birmingham, AL about 8 years ago. Carly’s sound and style have been compared to the likes of Janis Joplin, Jewel, Stevie Nicks & Grace Slick. Carly delivers soulful, indie-inspired, blues-infused rock vocals that are powerful and lyrics that are deep and meaningful. Carly has been performing since a very early age. Through the years, Carly has been involved in several collaborations. Her first band was coined Carly Black & The Shadows. Through this band's existence, Carly was able to gain valuable experience pertaining to performing live with others as a front woman. This time also served a role in introducing Carly Black and her original music to Birmingham, AL music supporters. The group disbanded after about a year of live performances and Carly went on to create her second band, A Touch Of Black. The core members of this group ran about a three year stint, furthering Carly's musical style and continuing to write original music. This group lost its lead guitarist and drummer...took a 6 month sabbatical and has just regrouped. The new creation of A Touch Of Black will debut June 4th at Regions Field...part of the Thirsty Thursday Concert Series for The Birmingham Barons. Thanks to Southbound Radio for providing this awesome opportunity for ATOB. They are so excited and ready to entertain you...hoping to move your Spirit a little, if not a lot! Present members include...Tim Kelly, bass, Mike Hawkins, drums and Roy Romano on our lead guitar.
