Dead Asylum
Dead Asylum
Melodic Death/Thrash metal from Vancouver Canada

Dead Asylum formed in Vancouver, BC at the end of 2011, and features vocalist/guitarist Mike Lister, vocalist/bassist Roger Mowat, guitarist Eric Morrison and drummer Samantha Landa. Dead Asylum’s style combines elements of thrash and death with melodic and grooving overtones–and echoes band influences such as Kreator, Amon Amarth and Exodus.

Dead Asylum has become known for its throat-gripping riffs and rhythms and its energetic, balls-to-the-walls live performance. Dead Asylum “is one of those bands that’s hit the ground running” (Abort Magazine). On top of tour dates around the US and Canada, they’ve shared the stage with thrashers Toxic Holocaust, Warbringer and Exmortus; Soulfly and Soilwork; Anvil; and festival dates with Suffocation, Beyond Creation, Bison BC and Holy Grail.

Dead Asylum’s second album, ‘Death Always Wins’ (2017) was recorded and edited by Roger Mowat at Jam Factory Studios in Port Coquitlam, BC and mixed and mastered by Chris “Hollywood” Holmes (Korn).

Heavy and melodic, the eight tracks on Dead Asylum’s debut album ‘General Carnage’ (2013) were produced by Nick Engwer and Brady D and mixed/mastered by Chris Holmes.

Songs range from thrashy headbangers, to technical compositions, to chantable, heavy metal anthems. Lyrical themes include revolution and political uprising, the apocalypse, and—as the band name alludes—twisted facets of the human psyche.

Caducus
Caducus
melodic alternative metal from New Albany, IN

Caducus is a four piece melodic metal band based out of Louisville, KY. Compared to bands like In This Moment, Lacuna Coil and Flyleaf, they are grabbing the Louisville music scene by the throat. Their debut EP, String Me Up, is gaining buzz with radio play and press across the globe. Their first single and title track, String Me Up, hit the airwaves in November and made instant waves. In fact, WIRR 103.5 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada named Caducus in their top 30 female fronted metal bands worldwide, and also their May 2015 band of the month.

Singer and primary songwriter Michala Bouska is no stranger to the music scene, and she definitely leaves a lasting impression on every person that crosses her path. Along with guitarist Chuck Stoess Jr, drummer Chuck Hedrick and bassist Chris Dodd, their music can be described as eerie, beatiful and powerful. Caducus is working hard to be heard by everyone, everywhere. Their live show can only be summed up by their lyrics, "Once we begin, there's no safeword."
