Heron and Crane
Rock from Bowling Green KY

Heron and Crane is a soul-squeezing rock trio out of Bowling Green, KY. The band is Collin Hancock (Guitar/Lead Vocals), David Stites (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Riley Finwood (Percussion). They're sound has been described as a blend between the likes of the Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys and Vampire Weekend. Heron and Crane released their first EP, Drat in August of 2015. The album was produced by Scott Gardner of Sleeper Agent, and was largely inspired by the lead singer's feelings of isolation and loss during his college years. The guitar riffs are both derived from roots rock and prog, heavily influenced by Alabama Shakes and The Fall of Troy, and in keeping with the spirit of those influences, Collin's vocals reach for Brittany Howard's range and intensity and Thomas Erak's wave-like melodies. David Stites' bass brings the band a driving post-rock thump reminiscent of Explosions in the Sky and RIley's drums lay down a funk groove similar in sound to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, creating a back line that forces you to dance.

Alternative, Rock, Punk, Post-Hardcore, Dinotunes from Bowling Green KY

Dinosaur eggs were jostled up from the deep earth where they were being preserved when a massive earthquake shook what was to be Bowling Green KY. 4 eggs were hatched. 4 rock and rollers crawled out of their eggy womb and the world became a better place when dinosaur nostalgia met the hurried world of the 21st century.
